This week, Americans Chris Kraus, Rick Gaenzle, Brian Ross and Mo Siegel will attempt to swim the Tsugaru Channel in Japan, thanks in part to lessons Matsuzaki learned. That swim is part of what is known as the Oceans Seven, a group of marathon swims worldwide.
She has arranged the swimmers’ travel accommodations, coordinating guide boats and offering advice. Matsuzaki will not be in Japan this week.
